Penang National Park
11 March 2008
LONG POST AHEAD!!!
(I realized that I haven't been posting long posts for a long time ...)
I went to the Penang National Park today with our school's ... Kelab Taman Sains. What do you call it in English anyway, Science Garden Club?? Sounds so daft. Uggh. Garden of Science Club?? Club of the Science Gardens??!?
I'm not a member of Taman Sains but then my mom is the teacher of the club so I always get to tag along with them wherever they go. Better yet, I can invite a few friends even though they are not members of the club.
=P
We reached there after quite a long ride on the bus. Felt so dizzy as there were sharp turns everywhere, left, right, left, right ... Made me feel like puking, really.

I love the skies!! They are sort of ... soothing, serene and peaceful? Sooo nice.
And thus, the hiking began.

Steps.

More steps.
Trust me, the steps kill. They are so steep, and sort of slippery, with ants the size of your ass crawling over them. Yuck.
And not to mention that it makes one so tired that it would be better to just die instead of continuing the hike and climbing more steps.
BUT!!!
After minutes I saw someone that made me revive at once.
Yes. Someone.
In the Middle of the Nowhere.

Mr. Mushroom.
♥
How gorgeous, no?? Have you ever seen a PURPLE mushroom in your whole life?? I never knew it even existed, it's so pretty ....

Mushroom Baby and Mushroom Baby.
Obviously, one is a boy and the other one is a girl.
My sister said that my babies looked like egg yolks.

After like, ten miles, we reached a river.

Tict Chyn & I
Tired as we might be, we still have the energy to take photos of ourselves. Well, I did, anyway. My friends all said that they don't want to take photos because their hair were matted with sweat, there were beads of perspire clumped on their eyelashes, their butts were wet all over, their kidneys itched, and there were mushrooms in their brains.

After like, a hundred miles, we reached a fashion runway made exactly for me, the model of the jungles. Today, I'm going to model the clothes designed by the world famous, international .... international ... sizzling hot designer, which would be me.

After like, a thousand miles, it was still trees everywhere.
Uggh.
And after ten thousand miles ....

It's the BEACH!!!
Phew. Almost two hours of hiking in the woods. Lying on a beach and sunbathing is exactly what we needed.
Problem is, there's no place to lie down, and nobody wanted to sunbathe. Except for me. I don't know why people like pale skin so much, I think tanned skins are so much more nicer. Plus, "tanned" also have another cute name - sun-kissed. Sounds so nice, right?? What about pale skin?? Cloud-kissed?? Corpse-kissed?? Eew.
But well, some people look better pale, some tanned. I don't think I'd look good pale, to be honest. And if you are pale, your eye bags, dark eye rings, zits, blemishes, pimples, warts, freckles and whatever will be even more visible than ever and I don't think anyone wanted that ... right?

The beaches are actually quite clean and pretty. Hmm. Never thought of it. I thought that every beach here in Penang has gray sands and black waters, with jellyfishes floating everywhere, and the disgusting smell of dead fishes.
Uhh, of course the dirty beaches here aren't that bad ....

I seem to have taken a liking to taking photos like ... the one above?? I don't know.

I love this photo!! Pity there were so many footprints on the sand...

Oooh. Sparkle. Glitter. Shine. Dazzle.
My mom said that the Meromictic Lake is below the bridge (in photo above, at the back). I didn't even know. When we were leaving, I even asked where's the lake.
The reason I can't find it is probably because it's all dried up.
Dried up. Huh.

I know, I know, you're getting tired of the photos, right?? The photos were practically the same. Taken from the same angle, taken OF the same thing which is the right side of the beach ...
But the beautiful green color of the sea had me completely in love with it ...
Okay, not exactly, 100% completely in love. Just ... 75% maybe??
If only the seas were the gorgeous color of turquoise, like THIS :

Yep. 100%. Definitely.
Since I'm sort of in love with the green sea, OF COURSE I had to get a closer look. Jit Nee and I began to climb rocks.

Rocks covered in seaweed.
They were so slippery!! It was pretty dangerous, I guess. I don't know. There was one particular kind of seaweed on the rocks that was particularly slippery. I almost slipped.
What if I slipped?? I probably will never see my one true love again.
Mr. Purple Mushroom.
*sniff*
BUT BUT BUT!!!
Suddenly I saw someone else.

Mr. Crab.
Actually this photo was edited (well, duh, how obvious). In the original version you can barely see the crab at all. Although all you can see in the photo above is probably only a lump of something black in water ...

Very, very gorgeous crabs.
I wonder whether it's edible or not ... Look at it's claws!! It's purple. So cute!!

Jit Nee & I
The brave, willing-to-sacrifice-themselves-for-something-they-want rock-climbers.

I don't know what's this??
A very pretty kind of seaweed, maybe??
I know the water looked too blue. I made a mistake when I edited it ... I accidentally pressed the save button while I was playing around with the colors and POOF!! The original version, gone.
We continued climbing the rocks. I tell you, the rocks can kill, too. They were all covered in ... I don't know what, some kind of hard living thing too, I think, and they were all sharp as hell!! Step on it too hard and you will prolly cry out in pain, lose your balance, and die. Poo.
Guess what we found???!?

A rock pool.
Oh my God, I have never seen a rock pool this big before!! To be exact I have never seen a rock pool before, I thought they don't exist here in Malaysia. I thought they only exist around those high-cliff-seas. Something like that.
Actually, is that even a rock pool??? Maybe it's not. Oh well.

There were many, many, very, very, tinytiny crabs and fishes in the pool. Weee!!

I couldn't resist cam-whoring .... =P
There were lots of other photos but most of them suck, because I was like, squinting at the camera because the sun was tooo dazzling. Ouch.

____ & I
Actually I don't know how to spell her English name. Heh.
She's so cute!! I think she sort of looks like an owl, but people said she looks like a teddy bear ....
=__=

Tict Chyn & I
Hah. I had to cover up her accidentally-exposed boobs. Hahah. So funny. Well, at least her boobs weren't completely exposed, she was wearing a bra ... Thank God. Mwahaha.
We went to look at baby turtles after that.

Baby turtles.
OMG!! They are really, really CUTE!!! They are so tiny!! There are only 11 of them in total.
Unfortunately, we were not allowed to touch them. Pooo.

Sooooo cute.
My mom was a spoilsport. She forbid me to go back to wait for the bus with my friends by boat, she forced me to hike all the way back to the main entrance again. Almost two hours of hiking. What the fuck. If my friends were with me I wouldn't have minded so much. But my friends were all really tired and it would be unfair to force them to hike with me, right??
Hmm. I of all people would know how it felt to be forced to do something. Thanks to my mom.
It was so tiring!! Double hiking.
T_T
Thank goodness there was Jane, or else I would be bored out of my mind, hiking with a few sporty people I don't know. I don't care if you say that I'm not sporty. I just hate not being with my friends. Arrrgh.

I finished watching Bull Fighting tonight!! I just had to finish it before going off to Cameron Highlands. Hehe.
