New Chapter

2 August 2011

It has been two months since I last updated. I know, this intro is getting seriously old, you have probably seen it 2835 times on my blog.

Anyway, I have been in KL for a little over a fortnight now, studying. Okay, not KL KL, if you get me. Not the bustling city of KL, but Subang (I'm guessing, I actually have no SPECIFIC idea where I am right now).

I'm studying in Taylor's University College which you probably already know if you've read my blog before this although, now that I come to think of it, I don't recall myself mentioning that I'd be coming to Taylor's, I just mentioned about the scholarship to the USA. Or maybe I did, who cares.

I'm sorry there aren't any photos in this post but I'm supposed to be doing my homework right now. It's just that the fact that I haven't been updating for two months suddenly popped up in my mind, and it elicited this wave of guilt that I couldn't ignore. So here I am!! Haha.

When I'm more free I'll upload photos of my campus! I've uploaded some on Facebook already but I can always take more, since my campus basically looks picture-perfect all the time. Haha.

It's pretty tough business, studying in a class full of super smart scholars from all over the country. There are also quite a lot of things to get used to, different education systems, different English standards, doing my own laundry, getting my own food supplies and all that.

I'll go into detail some other time. I hope I'll get the time to blog more often as I SERIOUSLY need to improve my essay-writing skills. Sigh. SAT and TOEFL are hideously tough! SAT more so, but that doesn't make the TOEFL easy. Easier, but not easy.

Okay actually the top part of this blog post is a week old, I just haven't gotten around to actually publishing it. So I'm now adding more stuff to this blog entry.

I am ACTUALLY in the library right now, doing nothing. Hahaha. Due to the rain (I suspect), the WiFi in my apartment unit has gone totally haywire, so I cannot do any research, search for the definition of words etc online, and now, I'm here on campus, using the superb WiFi, updating my blog. It's totally crazy, there are only two available shuttle bus services in the morning, one at 6.45 am another at 7.45 am. So no matter what time your class starts you'll be at school at around 8 am. For instance, my TOEFL class starts at 2 freaking pm in the afternoon and I'm right here. Now. :(

Of course, you could take the public bus, which my roomie and I frequently did, but it's kind of inconvenient especially if you're carrying your laptop or a lot of heavy books *cough* SAT *cough*, as you'll have to walk quite a distance from Casa Subang to the bus stop opposite Summit. Zzz.

I've spent a PRODIGIOUS (study SAT vocab = show off SAT vocab) amount of money on food alone since the first day I've been here. The food here is atrociously expensive, just a simple plate of chicken rice costs RM4.80 (that's just in the Taylor's food court) and the cheapest food I've eaten here costed me ... RM2.50? for an egg and a veggie. Gone are the days of cheap RM1.30 noodles! Oh, the misery. Haha.

Okay I'm feeling absolutely VORACIOUS (is that right? haha) right now, I could murder a whole pig. So hungry!! Arrgh.

Anyway. I'll update later! Tonight, if possible. Or not. Probably not since, like I mentioned, the WiFi in my unit has gone nuts. Also, my roomie and I plan to go to Mydin tonight to get some bananas? HAHAH. To buy some food. It seems that I'm perpetually hungry, no matter the time, geeeez.
