Oil Paintings

30 April 2008

I know I just posted an entry like, a few hours ago, but who cares.

My mum went out the whole afternoon, for a feet massage, and shopping for totally random stuff. And she came home with McDonald's for dinner, Eden's bread for tomorrow's breakfast, and oil paintings, of all things.

It's gorgeous, isn't it?? A whopping RM480, not counting the frame.

This is also gorgeous!! Another whopping RM450, but the frames are included.

How come my mother is willing to spend like, so much money on these kind of things?? Blah. To think of all the gorgeous stuff I could have bought with those money .... T_T

Which one's nicer?? I can choose one to put in my new bedroom, but which??

Personally I prefer the first one because the ballerina's face is prettier, the skirt is frilly and gauzy enough, but the painting's size is a bit too big, and if the frames are made, it will be even bigger.

The second painting's size is just right, but when you look at it closely, the ballerina's mouth is a wee bit deformed. Too puckered. And the skirt is not quite as nice. But I like the ballerina's .... pose!

*purr* Miaoww...

My sister's. So cute!!! It's very small, and only RM45!! It suits my sister's blue, blue room, really. Somehow I think my sister's room is going to look like a children's room, because of all the colorful things she's going to put inside.

OMG, I swear I'm like, addicted to Happy Tree Friends. They are hilarious!! And I totally love Lumpy, he's too stupid, and many people, namely ME, just can't help liking him. He's totally cute too!! But his hairy ass is just a bit too much. Aherm.

Go watch Happy Tree Friends on YouTube!!

I like Out on a Limb!! It featured Lumpy, and he is soooo funny and stupid!! But it hurts to watch, really. Makes me want to cover my eyes. I like Stealing the Spotlight too!! It featured many of the characters, and is just too funny for words. Lumpy is so cute, especially when his eyes become all round and big .... The way he kills so many people ....

I LOVE LUMPY!!! =P

And Nutty, of course. Heeee.

Daily Rambles

30 April 2008

- I'm very scared!! I just did something stupid, and I wish I could turn back the clock. I might get into a small trouble for this, and no, I don't really care, although yeah, I'm scared, but no, I'm only scared about what my mum will say, but yeah, I'm still worried, but no, but yeah, but no, but yeah, but ....

Okay, it's just a mini, stupid little spur-of-the-moment, unimportant (WHO SAYS??!) thing but still, with a crazy mind like mine, a dead fish is enough to make me worry.

Dear God, please, please, PLEASE, I beg you, don't let anything happen. Please.

(Oops. Maybe the small to large font sizes are offensive to you. Sorry. Oh no, I'm not supposed to call you you, isn't it? Or maybe You. Capital letter. More polite. Sort of. Oh please, please don't let anything happen.)

**************************

- Our class prefect, Jodie or something, has been catching me for having too long hair (which is not exactly true, it's not THAT long) since last year. Last year, she almost demerit me 4 marks, and if it wasn't for Yann Ying (who was Jodie's friend) who pleaded with Jodie for a few seconds, that she decided to let me go.

Today, the same thing happened. She has been asking me to cut my hair since last Friday, and I did (by my own freaking hands, mind you), AND she wouldn't let me pass. Until Yann Ying pleaded with her again. But at least, she changed a bit, she wasn't quite as strict. Whew.

***************************

- So happy I finally don't need to cut my hair anymore. WRONG. Was caught by one of the discipline teachers for having longer hair in the front, or more like, sides, than at the back. But I'm not going to take her very, very seriously, because she wasn't that very, very serious when she told me to cut it off. At least she didn't scold or order me to do it unlike *aherm* some certain teachers we have in class.

But the thing I couldn't stand was, when Pui Sin and I walked past that exact same teacher earlier, Pui Sin said that she didn't like the teacher. And you know what?? I actually said : "No arr, I think the teacher is very good, last time, when I BLAH BLAH BLAH, she never caught me wor, and she seldom scolds and demerit, so, yeah, I sort of like her better than the other teachers."

What the feeeek.

Damn. That will teach me not to talk about people, whether good or bad.

***************************

- A few more photos of our new house! Heh.

The Gate

I think metallic colors like dirty gold, bronze or something will be nicer, but my mom wants pure white, so, pure white it is. And I totally love the green walls!! The color is sooo nice.

But I hate the fence. There are no photos of it because it is too ugly. Yucks.

The Patio/Platform

Not completed yet.

I love this too!! Love the green walls with the diamond-shaped things. The "diamond-shaped-things" were a gift from one of my mother's friends, and they are very pretty!! My mother said those things can cost RM100-RM200 each. How can a person give such a gift I don't know. Not only one, but five or six of them.

And I love the wood!! Actually they are not wood, but whatever, they look like wood. I actually think that the color is quite nice already, but they have to paint on another layer of something, and the color is going to become darker, I think. Uh-oh.

God, the color is scary. Very striking contrast and kind of pretty when you look at it sometimes, but still scary nevertheless.

Mushroom light????

I. LOVE. THIS. LIGHT.

Unfortunately it is in my mum's bedroom BLAH. Looks so cute and mushroom-like, does it not??

Bathroom design (Master Bedroom)

I. LOVE. THE. FERN.

Unfortunately it is in my mum's bathroom BLAH.

Actually my bathroom (not exactly mine as I have to share it with the empty bedroom next door) is also the same color and design as the one in the photo above, just without the pretty fern designs. My mom said there's no place to put the fern thing. Feek.

******

Okay. That's it. Will update soon.

OMG I'm supposed to be studying, what am I doing??

Take a Bow

27 April 2008

Take a Bow - Rihanna

Her new video!!! Wheee. Rihanna, as usual, looks gorgeous in the video. Love her hair!! But I still prefer her longer bob, which you can see in her Umbrella video.

I love the song!! Currently using it in my blog. But actually, now, I'm torn between using Finally - Fergie, or Take a Bow - Rihanna. Both songs are very nice, in completely different ways. So I think I will create a play list. Heh. Not that it actually matters lah, but whatever.

School's Parrot Squawks

27 April 2008

Why am I lucky enough to have a mother who just threatened to ask the discipline teachers and prefects to go catch my hair because SHE THINKS IT'S LONG (I don't, and it's not)?!??!

Feeeeek.

Would SHE like her hair to be short and ugly and screams : GEEK??

Okay, I know some super hot, super short hairstyles like Rihanna's but she's Rihanna, we're not and that's that.

It's not like my mom and our school allow hairstyles like that anyway. Too short, they will say, oh, the current fashion trend, DEMERIT!!! Too long, they will say, oh no, breaking the rules, DEMERIT!! If you are bald, they will say, hor! Crazy behavior, unlady-like, doesn't fit in the school, bad influence, DEMERIT!!!!!!! Get hair extensions, they will say, waste of parents' money! DEMERIT!!!!!!!!! Wear a wig, they will scream : ILLEGAL!! DIRTY!! MESSY!! UNSTUDENT-LIKE!!! FULL OF FLEAS!! DEEEE-MEHHH-REEEET~!!!!!

Eat shit, drink urine, commit suicide, and they will say the same thing.

How I even came to be in such a school I don't know. Arrgh.

Randomness

25 April 2008

LONG POST, RAMBLING ABOUT EVERYTHING

I'm so PARANOID!! I hate it. I keep thinking and suspecting about things that I doubt has or will ever happen in my whole life. Suspecting that people are backstabbing me. Suspecting that my friends are talking about me in secret. Suspecting about every single unlikely-to-ever-happen thing.

(Okay, I'm not saying that the examples I listed out above did NOT happen, because, really, I have no idea whether it happened or didn't. And the unlikely-to-ever-happen thing has nothing to do with friendship, because, you are not going to know whether what is likely or unlikely to happen between you and your friends, right?)

Anyway. Enough about my stupid suspicions. I will blog about happier things!!

Went to Jit Sin High School's Chinese Orchestra concert last Saturday. No words need be said, you know what Chinese Orchestra means : BORING.

I prefer an orchestra with violins and strings, big time. They can play the Pirates of the Caribbean songs, which made me like them even more.

We saw a Chinese harp that looked like a ... well, harp.

So artistic, and it oozes high class, no??

But really, a dragon's head would be better than a weirdo cock-a-doodie's.

Lee Mei & I

Eh. This wasn't exactly a happy thing. But since I already typed and uploaded the photos ...

***********

A few photos of our new house :

(Still not finished renovating yet, oh well. Heard that the new gate was built already, can't wait to go look!!)

Pretty dining room light

Ahh. It isn't even a dining ROOM for goodness' sake.

Close-up

Reminds me of stained-glass windows you can find in churchs. So nice!!

Very pretty wallpapers!! I love it, especially the one in the first photo. There's also going to be a wallpapered wall in my room!! My mum just haven't brought me to choose the wallpaper yet.

The second photo shows the entrance to my mum's small walk-in closet. Actually, I hate the walk-in closet. I mean, I LOVEEE walk-in closets, but just not my mum's, because my mum's closet was only for clothes, and I prefer ones which kept shoes as well.

Imagine, beautifully crafted and brightly colored high heels, arranged neatly on the first three rows of the shelf, and pretty, sequined and ribboned flats in jewel-tones in the fourth row, and high-heeled stiletto boots in the fifth row. Wouldn't it be HEAVEN?? *looks off into the distance*

Eva Longoria and her enormous walk-in closet

Heaven, indeed.

Bar counter

The lights actually look nice, but I managed to make it suck in this photo, because the lights looked too short.

Blah, blah, blah.

Gossip Girl Spread in HOT Magazine

I don't usually read the HOT magazine, so, yeah, the only reason I bought this was because of Gossip Girl.

Introductions about the characters

I love Serena. I love Blair. I LOVE SERENA. I LOVE BLAIR.

Oh, how could I forgot, I LOVE NATE TOO!!

A quiz to see which character you are most like

I got Serena!! Yay. Ha ha. I sort of cheated, actually, because I read all the books, so I know what's Serena, what's Blair and what's Jenny. Cheh.

=_=

But really, I think I'm most like Serena, because I'm not a drama queen or bitch like Blair, nor a sweet, young girl with a bubbly personality like Jenny. The first glance at the word sweet = NO WAY. Heh.

I heart GOSSIP GIRL!!

*********

Bought this today.

Colbie Caillat looks different!! Couldn't recognize her until I saw her name there.

....

Blerh. How random.

**********

The Box of Guilt

Really.

First, I feel guilty for spending SOOO much money on books. The grand total is like ... RM870+. On BOOKS, of all things. Oh my, a little bit more money and I could have bought a nice phone. I could have bought lots of gorgeous clothes and shoes. I could have bought thousands of contact lenses.

Okay lah. Since my parents do not allow me to own a hand phone (OF ALL THE ..... what the *toooot* :P) and they do not allow contact lenses either (WHAT. THE. *TOOOOOT* They said it's a nuisance but so far I think they are the only ones who said so) so I have to go without both. And since they don't allow me to go out with my friends without the presence of an adult (*TOOT* *TOOT* *TOOT* *TOOT* *TOOT*), I can't really buy any "gorgeous clothes and shoes" after all. And no way am I going shopping with my mum, unless I'm sure she's in a good mood, and until I find out where she's going to shop. She usually shops at Parkson, but still, she's a bit annoying to be shopping with. Poo.

Second, I .... okay, that's a secret. Too guilty. Can't say it out. Arhhh.

Songs (:

23 April 2008

Yeah, I'm too bored.

I was reading the HOT magazine (that I bought just because there were pages featuring Gossip Girl OMG!!) and I saw a page featuring Leona Lewis and her Spirit album, and there was a song called I Will Be. I was surprised, because Avril Lavigne has a song called I Will Be, too. At first I thought it was two different songs, but then, so coincidentally, I read someone's blog, and she posted up the lyrics of Leona's I Will Be. Then I saw that the lyrics were the same as Avril's.

So, here I am, listening to Leona's version of the song.

Seriously, I think Avril sings it better. Much, much better. Somehow I find the Leona's version a bit too exaggerated and forced. I don't know. Maybe Avril's voice is more suitable for the song. Actually I think that Leona's singing skills are better than Avril's, but I prefer Avril's songs, because, well, I love Avril. Simple.

Go listen to the Avril version of I Will Be!! It's very nice ... I'm using it in my Friendster profile, if I'm not wrong. Heh.

Since I'm so bored, I'm going to list out a few of my current favorite songs.

1. Beat It - Fall Out Boy ft. John Mayer
2. 4 Minutes - Madonna ft. Justin Timberlake
3. When You Look Me In The Eyes - Jonas Brothers
4. Finally - Fergie
5. Helpless When She Smiles - Backstreet Boys
6. Bleeding Love - Leona Lewis
7. Your Love Is A Lie - Simple Plan
8. No Air - Jordin Sparks ft. Chris Brown
9. Stop And Stare - OneRepublic

Okay. Since I'm so bored and I couldn't be bothered to study for the exam which is coming in, *gulp* 19 days or something, I'm going to ... I don't know.

I'm going to update about Cameron Highlands, My New House, Gossip Girl Spread in HOT Magazine, and ... something. Later today. Sometime.

Gossip Girl ♥

21 April 2008

WARNING : Uhh, SPOILERS??
[Is this even a spoiler anyway? Just a few photos though..]

Gossip Girl is coming back TODAY!!

OMFG. I'm so excited!! I can't wait.

The new episode that is airing today is the 14th one, called Blair Bitch Project. I want to watch it!! Can't wait to look at all the gorgeous faces (well, almost all of them) and fabulous clothes again. And all the gossips and bitching ... who wouldn't love a show like that??

Nice clothes!! Stupid girls at the top, hotter girls at the bottom.

Blair looks perfectly Audrey Hepburn-ish, doesn't she?? :P

New stills from Gossip Girl Episode 14

There are a lot more stills for the new episode but then I feel too lazy to upload and I'm sure you don't want any spoilers. Yeah.

Damn. I'm stuck. I love Serena, I always have loved her in the Gossip Girl books, so I'm trying to convince myself to like her better and think that she's more beautiful than Blair because that's just the way it is in the books. Blair in the books always feels insecure around Serena because Serena is so perfect.

And no, it is not possible for me to love someone who is not the prettiest. End of story.

Not that who's prettier really matters, but I'm just that kind of girl.

Pretty girl wearing pretty clothes. Uggh. *jealous stare*

Blair Waldorf (Leighton Meester) really looks prettier than Serena in the show sometimes. (Shit. I admitted it.) Her big dark eyes, apple-cheeks, and best of all her dark, curly hair. Talk about pretty. And she creates most drama in the show, I've got to love her for that. =P

Another pretty girl wearing pretty clothes. Uggh. *faint with jealousy*

(Nope. I don't need to see the rest of her clothes. Almost all her clothes in the show are gorgeous. And so are Blair's. They both have such chic, serious styles in the show!! I love it. Love their clothes. Their bags. Their shoes. Their phones. Their homes. Their money.)

Serena van der Woodsen (Blake Lively) is very pretty, especially when she smiles, sooo dazzling, but sometimes she just couldn't compare with Blair. Sometimes.

[Shit. I'm doing the "I can convince myself" thing again.]

But Serena is taller, and her legs are longer. And her hair is even nicer than Blair's, even though both of their hair are gorgeously curled, and perfectly coiffed. I love Serena's hair more because it's BLOND. The exact shade of blond that I love so much. I love blond hair!! And blue eyes. And Serena has both. So I have to love her. I have always loved her in the books anyway (yeah, you knooow, but shut up, just listen :P) so I must continue loving her.

I was always doing the same thing with America's Next Top Model. Comparing, convincing myself, yadda, yadda, yadda. And I always loved blonds. Renee, Chantal, et cetera. Blonds. All of them. Who can blame me?? Who dared say that the color blond is not nice can go dunk their head into a pile of elephant dung.

*

Chantal

Renee

Caridee

*

Since I love Blair more in the show, and Serena both in the books and show ... The conclusion is :

I LOVE BLAIR AND SERENA!! BOTH OF THEM.

Okay. That was lame.

Hot or what? *drools*

Of course, there's Nate Archibald (Chace Crawford), the pretty boy. Sooooo hot. He's got a great bod. And he has golden brown hair. And his eyes are such a pretty blue color. More brownie points for him! I used to hate him at first, in the first few episodes, when his hair is all combed and gelled up his head. Or however you describe it. Yucks.

Quite hot too, no??

Then, there's Chuck Bass (Ed Westwick), the guy that Blair lost her virginity to. I think he's sort of cute!! And I think he looks great with Blair. Sizzling chemistry.

And there's the stupid wannabe Jenny Humphrey (Taylor Momsen). Yuck. Sometimes she even DRESSES like a wannabe. Uggh. I hate her so much!! She should ... dunk her head into a pile of elephant dung.

Note : I hate her character, not Taylor Momsen, so, no offense. But I have to admit she has nice eyes, big and blue. And she's blond. But I don't love her. Because I have hated her since forever when I started to read the books. And the fact that she doesn't have the giant boobs and shocking curly brown hair doesn't make me like her any better.

Dan & Serena

(I just don't feel like letting people see his face, even though he's cute sometimes)

Dan Humphrey (Penn Badgley), I don't even want to start. He might look cute and sweet with Serena, but then I still prefer Serena with Nate. I don't know why. Because, in the books ... yeah, both of them are considered as the hottest guy and girl in the Upper East Side of Manhattan. So, naturally, the hottest guy and girl should go together right?? Candy for the eyes. :P

Anyway. I'm going to bed. Soooooo tired.

Can't wait to watch Gossip Girl again!!! Whoopee!!

Cameron Highlands I

Cameron Highlands Day 1

12 March 2008

NOTE : If you don't like SUPER LONG POSTS and FLOWERS, go away. =P

We left Penang early in the morning, and we picked my cousin up in Butterworth. After a few hours, we reached Ipoh, and we stopped to have brunch at a supposedly famous dim sum restaurant.

Chee Cheong Fun

It was super yummy!! I loved it.

After brunch we continued with our journey. I fell asleep, and when I woke up we were already there.

My Sleepy Face

My hair was very messy because the car windows were open, to let the cool air outside blow in. The feeling was very nice!!

Some certain plants at Cameron Highlands were like, four or five times the normal size you usually see in ... normal places. The clovers there were very huge!! Some are even as big as your palm when a normal one is only about, say, the size of your thumb.

We reached Kea Farm quite soon, and we stopped there for ice-creams.

Ice-Creams *drools*

The chocolate one was mine, but I don't like it as much as the strawberry ones, because the chocolate wasn't fine enough. Yuk.

But I still love the strawberries!! Don't you think strawberries are very pretty?? Especially ones that are close to being heart-shaped.

Waffles with Strawberries

And a dollop of whipped, fresh cream and chocolate.

Oh my God, these waffles are to die for!!! They were incredibly tasty. The low temperature at Cameron Highlands only made the hot waffles taste even better.

:D

After the ice cream, we went to the place we were going to stay at. It wasn't a hotel, I don't exactly know what it is. I only know that it has something to do with MARDI, and ... yeah, that's about it.

We saw a lot of big, gorgeous and brilliantly colored hibiscuses!!

In shades of orange

In shades of red and pink

And we also saw a very huge yellow hibiscus :

So pretty, no??

See how big it is?? It's even bigger than my face.

We also saw lots of pretty flowers around the MARDI compounds, or whatever it's called. Who cares.

Okay. A break from flowers first.

We reached the little cottage we were going to stay in. It was a small, sweet little house, called the English Cottage!!!

It even has it's own little garden with colorful flowers!!

There is even a barbecue ... stove?? under the tree!!

The living room, patio, kitchen and a .... I don't know what it is. Seating area??

The dining room and the stairs that led to the second floor.

Ugly stairs, by the way. It was made of wood, and therefore it made a lot of creaks and squeaks. Arrgh.

The upstairs bedroom, and the fake fireplace downstairs.

The house was divided into two sides, and in each side there were a living room, a dining room, and those other rooms. So in total, the whole cottage has about, six or seven bedrooms.

After we bagged our bedrooms, we went out to explore the MARDI grounds.

I love this photo!! I look like I was at somewhere else that is not Cameron Highlands ... if you know what I mean. I know, you don't know what I mean, so forget it.

The photo above shows the very pretty garden outside the English Cottage, complete with a small pond, a bridge and a fountain. Not to mention uncountable species of rare flowers that can only live in low temperatures.

Okay. Back to flowers.

Birds of Paradise

Is this gorgeous or what??

Amaryllis

Cut.

We had a delicious, early dinner at 5 something, then we went out for another exploration. Yes, the grounds are really that big that we couldn't finish exploring yet.

And .....

I will post up the rest of Day 1 another time because this entry is way too long. Heeh.
