In Love With ...

20 March 2010

MY MILK TOOF

All photos are from the My Milk Toof site.

The cutest blog I have read in my life so far.

ickle and Lardee ROCKS!! ♥

So happy the blogger's publishing a book soon! Not sure if it'd be available in Malaysia. I HOPE SO. I'd buy it for sure. Sooooo cute.

Also not sure about the price. But it's probably worth it.

THE SALTWATER ROOM - OWL CITY

To my motion fatigue, farewell
With your ear to a seashell
You can hear the waves in underwater caves
As if you actually were inside a saltwater room

Time together isn't ever quite enough
When you and I are alone, I've never felt so at home
What will it take to make or break this hint of love?
We need time, only time

It's a very sweet song! Soooo nice. Go listen! :)

CANDICE SWANEPOEL

I probably have said this before. BUT ISN'T SHE GORGEOUS?!?!

Gosh. I don't think I have seen more than ten Candice-haters from all the comments I read in the celebrity gossip websites. TEAM CANDICE, indeed! :D

SUCH PRETTY THINGS

All photos are from the Such Pretty Things site!

Google it if you like artsy stuff, pastel colours, sprinkles, pretty cupcakes, vintage flowers, ETC.

Eeeee I sure wish I can make such pretty, creative stuff. The cupcakes! They look so SWEET. I want. Hahaha. :S

Actually I'm in love with a lot more things and people but it's 12 a.m. now. And I gotta go to bed. My sore throat is killing me. Actually it's a lot better now that I have drank the ... the .... thing. Dang. I was kind of hoping that I wouldn't have to go to school for the stupid tests on Monday. Hahahaha.

Hello, hello!

19 March 2010

It has been ten days since I last updated. Sorry.

Well, our school's 90th anniversary celebrations are officially over (a few days ago), and the monthly test is approaching. And of course, the school Sports Day. And lots of other things. Like ... err, SPM at the end of the year. Shucks.

I just came back from Cameron Highlands yesterday, and boy. I'm not feeling very good. Chapped upper lip, sore throat, some rash-like thingies on my neck ...

On top of that, after spending a day at the pleasantly cold Cameron Highlands, being in Penang actually feels like being in a freaking DESERT. Hahaha. Not that I have been to a desert before. Must be ten thousand times hotter. ARRGH.

AND MY EYEBAGS HAVE ... DEEPENED! BECOME MORE CONSPICUOUS! The horror. As if they aren't horrible enough in the first place. Gosh. You'll know when I upload the Cameron Highland photos. After the school test. Sigh.

I shouldn't even have uploaded the photos on Facebook. But like I said. It's relevant! To Biology! Pollination, transpiration, humidity, the ... err, circulatory systems of insects, etc. And to Geography, which, unfortunately, I'm no longer studying.

Here's a sneak peek!

Hahahaha. Please DON'T not come back and read my blog after seeing this photo. LOL.

Uh, I spent most of the time camwhoring with the colourful flowers there. So, you'll be seeing a lot of vain photos! Too bad. :P

Okay. That's it. Good night!

** I have the cutest little two-year-old cousin ever. His name is 赵奕安. When he said "good morning" to his mom, his mom would ask : "What is good morning in Chinese? 什么安?" And he would say : "赵奕安!"

So lame. AND SO CUTE. The way he says his name is damn adorable!!! AND he knows how to sing 财神到 and dance along to the song. I recorded a video of him singing and dancing until he fell down, and how he hit my sister at the end of the song. Made us all laugh like maniacs. HEARTS!

Race You, Dumb Lizard :P

9 March 2010

Whooo. Another lame post.

Something really dumb and ... well, LAME, happened today.

It happened like this.

I left my bedroom, and I didn't close the door. I was descending the stairs and I suddenly saw this bastard of a lizard on the stairs. Of course it flew (flew because it moved so fast) away, and I had this horrifying thought : WHAT IF IT GOT INTO MY ROOM?

So I quickly turned and tried to race the lizard up the stairs. Okay, the lizard didn't really climb the stairs one step at time (duh), it just climbed up the wall beside the stairs. Little cheat. Gah. I was so scared it would creep into my room, because my room was one of the rooms nearest to the stairs.

In my hurry to overtake the dumb lizard, I fell down. Hit my knuckles and knees pretty hard. The dumb lizard was stuck onto the wall, unmoving. It was probably snorting with laughter. If lizards could snort, that is.

I scrambled up quickly (because I was scared the lizard would crawl up my legs) and tried to reach the top of the stairs, and in my hurry, I tripped, and fell again. Argh.

Must be the rhythm thing. I think I was trying to run up the stairs two steps at a time, and suddenly I ... err, lost track of the rhythm (one, two! ONE, TWO!), and maybe tried to do four steps in one huge leap, and then I fell. LOL.

Ha-ha. All the more reason to hate lizards. The stairs are quite wide, but when there's a lizard anywhere near it, I have to press myself to the wall and descend the stairs as quickly as I can. Geeeee.

I have a huge pimply on my face. Err, like I told Rumi, my nose is the axis of symmetry and the pimply is one of the two points (the other is another old pimply WHICH WAS CURSED BY RUMI that hasn't disappeared) of the graph.

Okay you probably don't get what I mean, and I won't be showing you a photo any time soon. So. Forget it. Hahahaha. TIME TO DO CHINESE CALLIGRAPHY !#*%^*!*#$!@

AND I HAVE TO GO ON DUTY DURING THE STUPID FUNFAIR ON SUNDAY. Three duties, 40 minutes each. Yay me. Yay us. :)

Jumble Sale!

8 March 2010

Happy Birthday, PCGHS!

Our jumble sale today was a success!! We earned RM1738. Just from selling food. Okay, we had help from our awesome teacher/KAWAN. And my mom, who bought a lot of stuff from our class. I mean, she genuinely LIKED the things she bought, so. Still okay.

Today was such a tiring, tiring day. Saw Crystal studying just now and suddenly, the guilt kicked in. Damn. I don't know when I'm going to start studying for the test. I'm going to be so busy. Rehearsals for the 90th anniversary concerts. The actual concerts. Then Cameron Highlands.

I'm so tired. My eyebags have ... err, doubled their size these days. I was HORRIFIED when I looked into the mirror today. I slept quite early recently, so I don't understand why my eyebags are this shocking size now. It's quite scary. With some makeup, I bet I could be a more convincing and frightening ghost than the ghosts in the Ghost House from K3A today. LOL.

Hahaha. They were brilliant, earned loads of money. Over 2k, and that was only for the morning session. Crazy huh. I didn't go in (personally I think ghost houses are lame, including the Genting one), but Woei Shin said she went in four times. Madness. Hahahaha.

Okay, I GUESS it could be fun if you go in with your friends (and bully the ghosts :P). But I don't want to waste money. I'm BROKE. Like seriously. And I have to visit a lot more jumble sales these few days. Xin Yuan, your sushi had better be nice. Argh. LOL.

SOOOO, I'm sure you can roughly estimate the amount of people who went into the Ghost House. Excluding crazy people like Woei Shin who went in four freaking times. The whole school, by the looks of it. Haha. The queue for it was mad long. Garrrrh.

Many thanks to the people who bought our food, and to the unfortunate people who had the ... uh, privilege of knowing me, and had to buy things from me. If you get what I mean. Don't know how to put it in words. HAHAHA. Poor things. But anyway, THANKS A WHOLE BUNCH, I LOVE YOU ALL!

Those who didn't buy anything from us (ahem. Guess who? HAHAHA), I won't won't won't buy stuff from your class. Yeah I'm childish like that. Loool. :P

And also, many thanks to the people who sponsored the food!

Like my mom, for the herbal eggs. Many people said it was nice, I don't know though.

Like Kawan and his SUPER-AWESOME-IN-BAKING wife. I don't really like that type of cheesecake as it has that lemony taste and is slightly sour, but I still think it's quite tasty. AND THE WALNUT CARROT CAKE IS TO DIE FOR. To die for, I tell you. Carrots, walnuts, raisins, whipped cream, cheese. *drools*

Like Yue Yu's mom, who made the yummy muachee. PEANUTS! :)

Like Jia Yun's mom, who made the ... err. Yam? It WAS yam right? O kuih lah. Whatever it's called in English. Everyone, and I mean everyone, especially the teachers, thought that the O kuih was awesome. But I didn't get the chance to eat it. Bah.

Like Ying Nee's mom, who baked cakes for our class. ALSO didn't get to eat those. Shucks.

AND who else har.

OF COURSE, EVERYONE FROM S5B. I really, really love my class this year. You guys rock. :)

Oh and some good and bad news at the same time. Zhi Cheng hurt her foot while playing tennis, so our class have to move from our classroom at the fourth floor to the second floor classroom nearest Bilik Syarahan at the Old Block. Until APRIL I think. Greeeeeat. But poor, poor Zhi Cheng. :(

I swear, I'm growing fat. Before my sister went to Sabah she kept practising making the bubble milk tea she's going to sell during the funfair on the 14th. Then I was the ... err, tester. Die. REDUCED LIFESPAN!!!!!!

Then there are the jumble sales and everything. Fattening food. Chocolate fondue. The ultimate sin. ARRRRRRRGH. Jellies and milk. MILK. Everything with sweetened milk. Gosh.

Okay. I'm going to shut up now.

I DON'T WANNA DO MY HOMEWORK. History essay. Going to copy from my friends tomorrow. History notes. Going to copy from my friends tomorrow. Chinese calligraphy. Err. Will write it tomorrow. As long as it's within this week. Add Maths. COPY FROM MY FRIENDS TOMORROW. God I'm such a lazy ass. Sigh.

SORRY FOR THE LONG POST AGAIN DAMMIT

Photos! :)

5 March 2010

SUPER LONG POST AHEAD! As usual!

Deluge of photos here. Be prepared! Hahaha.

But of course, I must ramble a bit first! Wouldn't be ME otherwise.

So! This is a pretty exciting time for PCGHS girls. The jumble sales! Kind of fun. Hot, crowded, insufficient food ... but yeah, still bearable. We get to miss classes, that's the most important thing!

Have I mentioned that the tests are coming soon, and I'm going to Cameron Highlands during the holidays? I bet I have. Hahaha.

And HAVE I mentioned that my dad, my sister and her friends are going off to Sabah this Sunday? And that my brother, his girlfriend, my dad (and possibly my sister) are going off to China in May? And that my parents are going off to PARIS in June?

AND MOST IMPORTANT OF ALL, THAT I HAVE TO FREAKING STAY AT HOME, ROT, TRY TO STUDY AND DREAM ABOUT THE FIRST EVER TIME I COULD STEP ONTO A PLANE?! (yes I have never been on a plane before. WTF.)

China? Paris? And I'm going to boring Cameron Highlands. But I guess it's okay, because it'd be a great escape from the awful heat here, and there are strawberries, pretty flowers, and all. Better than nothing. Hahahaha.

I'm fantasising about the days after SPM. Where to travel to. I'm aiming for JAPAN. Crazy, I know. But it's not crazier than aiming for Paris, New York, London, or Italy, right? Anyway. If I were to visit Japan one day, I'd do it during April, when the sakuras would be in full blossom. SO PRETTY.

My mom has always wanted to go to Japan. But unfortunately she has to work. Doesn't matter, because she's going to PARIS this June anyway.

Right. End of rambling. Photos now! Err, enjoy?

I'm going to skip the Chinese New Year (as in the first few days of it) photos, for now! Going to post photos of other stuff first. Like the I-still-don't-remember-what-it's-called-in-English 庙会.
Cultural something heritage something.

20 February 2010

Had a performance at Dewan Sri Pinang in the morning, for the Solo Art Exhibition of I-don't-know-what-the-artist's-name-is, Lee something. Pro guy!

Listened to a guy droning on and on about some irrelevant stuff during his speech. Was SO bored. He wasn't even the limelight of this exhibition, the ARTIST was. And the artist gave a considerably shorter and sweeter speech than that guy. Eeergh.

Went to the 庙会 at night!

Here are some of his paintings :

Exquisite, eh? But I swear the photos I took didn't do the paintings ANY justice.

All the paintings looked so real, just like photographs. And the girl in the last photo's eyes! Kind of scary. And you know what? Yi Ling and my mommy said that the girl's eyes look like mine. MINE.

Hahaha. Something must be wrong with theirs. LOL.

龙腾虎跃!

We had such a hard time trying to go through this doorway/arch/whatever you call it. Because some inconsiderate people were blocking the way, trying to take photos with the people in the tiger costumes. Standing right there, in the middle of the road.

If it was one person or two, I wouldn't have minded. But it was a whole freaking PACK of people. Errgh.

Frankly, those people in animal costumes look HIDEOUS. But the kids love them. I don't recall myself going crazy over those furry things when I was a kid though. Didn't even want to go near them, let alone shake their hands, hug them and take photos with them. Eeeew.

I prefer the ones in the food costumes. Like a hotdog, or a carrot. Hahaha. They look cuter, somehow.

(I'm babbling again, sorry! *sheepish smile*)

I like this photo, because my surname is there! All the flags were ... err, kind of tangled up and there it was, the mighty TAN flag in all its glory, flapping in the (non-existent) breeze!

The magnificent Khoo Kongsi.

(I know I look weird. Must be the hair, WTF)

(And I know my sister looks weird too, with her Digi fan. Who did she think she was, some princess from Japan? Hahahaha. Okay. Not funny.)

My sister said this photo looked like it was taken in China. Err. Maybe not.

NAH! THE UBER-CUTE ANGMOH! So cute! I love his hair colour and his hairstyle. And his blue, blue eyes. His smooth, lightly-tanned skin. And you know what? I sound like a disgusting, disgusting ... paedophile? LOL. No. NOOOOOO. Yuck.

But really, he is so gorgeous! Like I said I cannot imagine how he would look like when he's grown-up. Must be hot. :)

And I'm so sorry I stalked him like that. Okay. That's not true. I saw him three times during the 庙会! Ahh, fate.

*dreamy sigh*

*coughs and splatters*

HAHAHA. He was wearing adorable Chinese clothes. OMFG. So, I met him three times and I fell in love with him, and tried to take photos of him. LOL. He was with some other equally cute kids too, with gorgeous curly hair! But I still like him the most. Hahahaha. I'm crazy. Sorry.

MY CUTEST EVER COUSIN!!!!!

He had a puff of cotton candy stuck to his lips, aww. He was a bit sceptical about the cotton candy at first, but once the cotton candy touched his lips and melted on his tongue, he smiled! SO FREAKING ADORABLE!!!!

Chinese Orchestra performance by the CL(P)HS students. 龙腾虎跃!

Khoo Kongsi at night. Pretty! :)

Some of the stuff sold at one of the streets. We bought one of the brooches (photo on top) for my mom. She said it was pretty - with all the lace, beads and flowers - except for the fact that it had a square shape. I thought the same thing. I mean, would YOU pin such a square thing on your clothes? No right.

I also bought a cute pouch (that I don't plan to use) at the same stall.

AND the watermelon bag! So cute right. Hahahaha.

OKAY FINE. I CUT OFF THE OTHER HALF OF THIS POST, BECAUSE I THINK THIS POST IS REALLY, REALLY TOO LONG. LASTS MORE THAN HALF THE PAGE. SIAO. POST IT SOME OTHER DAY! :)

(Sorry for the capital letters, haha.)

Going to bed soon! Have CO practice tomorrow, and going to Rumi's house afterward. Yay! :)
