Adieu, 2010!
31 December 2010 --- 1 January 2011
2010, a year full of ups and downs. But after contemplating for a moment, I think the ups triumph over the downs. A lot of bad things may have happened, but they weren't too ... well, BAD, not to me anyway, not exactly, whereas the good things that occurred were really good.
So, in conclusion, I think 2010 has, or had (okay the year isn't technically over, not yet) been a very great year. Going to do a short recap of what happened this year, and what I did, to help myself remember! Because truth be told I can't really recall what happened this year. Only remember snippets of it. I'm going to skip the bads of this year though.
All the photos are saved from Facebook, thus the quality of the photos are a bit weird. Too lazy to shift through the thousands of folders in my pendrive, haha.
January
(Why are all the words that I 'bolded' hot pink? Something's wrong with the HTML in the template but I can't be arsed to figure out what. Damn. Too much pink, especially hot pink, is not a good thing)
Uh. Uhhhh.
Okay. This is kind of hopeless. What happened in January? :O
Well, school started, obviously. Started my life as an old, dignified, cool and sophisticated (ha-ha) fifth former. Not. Was as childish (if not more so) as ever, and things didn't exactly improve by my sitting beside Rumi. If there were two people who should not have sat together in class, it was us.
We were two lazy bums who never did our homework, loved to chat and doodle in books, and despised Add Math. On the rare occasions that we did do our homework, we just had to have completed the same homework so we couldn't lend our homework to each other for copying even if we wanted to. Hahaha.
Thank goodness there are Hui Jing and Jia Li - the good bums in our gang - from whom Rumi and I can borrow our homework and get information when we chatted/doodled/daydreamed/slept in class and missed what the teachers said.
Okay I think nothing very good and significant happened in January.
February
Chinese New Year, of course. Met up with my cousins, ate a lot of food, gained weight, got lots of red packets, and that was that, I guess.

Had a primary school Standard 6 gathering. Met up with lots of people I haven't seen for years. I guess everyone has changed! And grown. Haha.

March
Went to Cameron Highlands. I have been there so many times, I was kind of sick of it, and was not anticipating the trip. I thought I would be very bored there, but turned out I wasn't, because I spent a lot of time photographing the exquisite flowers (using a normal digital cam, but the results were pretty fantastic), and managed to snap some gorgeous photos that I'm secretly very proud of, haha.

There are lots more! And it occurred to me I never updated about the trip. Maybe I will, sometime. After the Langkawi posts, if nothing interesting happens in my life. Hahaha. Way overdue, as usual!
Celebrated the school's 90th anniversary. Performed for CO.

Had a whole week of jumble sales to raise money for ... for what, I don't know. To renovate the school's toilets, I think. I guess I was lucky to have used the new and improved school toilets for a year or two. :P The sales were extremely fun, but it also caused us to become fatter, since we consumed so much unhealthy food (i.e. chocolate fondues, sweet jellies, chocolate brownies, pizza, pasta, sausages and stuff), practically every day of the week. Crazy.
April
Okay, I REALLY can't remember. Did the school's Sports Day fall in this month? *shrugs*
May
Uhm.
Sat for the .... midyear exam? *dismayed* There must be something wrong with me. I mean, who remembers the exams for goodness' sake? Of all things.
June
Went to the beach with my sixth aunt and cousins, and rode on a horse for the first time. Pretty exciting and scary at first, but got boring after the first 10 seconds. LOL. And to complete the uh, magical moment (you know, first time and all that), the horse peed and pooped. Peed after we rode him (must be our combined weight, poor thing) and pooped while some other children were riding him. Haha.

Went shopping with Ee Leng, and introduced her to the best bubble milk tea in the world! :) Okay, maybe not the best, I have yet to try the famous bubble milk tea in Singapore that Ee Leng mentioned. Haha.

Oh, and the CO competition!! Got the first Gold prize. I LOVE CO!! Had fun practising, even though the practices were tiring. Had a post-competition celebration at Little Cottage 2 near our school.

July
I think I went to Singapore for my brother's convocation this month. Or was it August? Hmmph.
Had great fun, even though the trip was only for 3 short (too short) days. Visited the magnificent, glittering Marina Bay Sands, went up the Singapore Flyer, took a ... graduation? photo in a proper photo studio, ate many fabulous food (the dessert at ... Bugis? OMG!), went shopping ...
I always have a great time in Singapore! Hopefully I'll be able to go next year. Haha. Oh, and, as Ee Leng 'predicted', I haven't updated about the Singapore trip as well. Oops.

August
Don't know what happened. Uh, yes. National Day! *coughs*
September
Attended my cousin's wedding in Klang. That was during the two-week-holiday in the midst of my SPM trial exam. Hahaha. Had fun, and met my cutest ever cousin who was born in the USA.

October
Graduation!! :)
And graduation night. Okay I really don't have much to say, except that I really don't want to leave my friends. But we're going our separate ways soon (some have already gone), sigh.

November
Had a pre-SPM party (odd timing, I know) at Hui Xian's place. An awesome day. I really love S5B!!! The girls (or leng luis, as we like to call ourselves, XD) are all friendly and amiable, really nice and down-to-earth, and have great senses of humour.
The best last-year-of-school class anyone could ask for, as I have said before. :)
Went shopping for baking supplies together with my classmates, had lunch, baked cakes and cookies together, had a barbecue.

Of course, nightmare started. SPM.
And my fantastic birthday. *sarcastic smile*
December
End of nightmare aka SPM. Very happy. A bit anxious about my results though, am pretty sure they're going to suck. Especially Chinese. And am convinced that I haven't done well enough for Biology, my favourite subject besides English. Heck, I didn't exactly did great for English either. Bugger.
Anyway. Went to Langkawi, and had a brilliant time camwhoring (typical, haha), appreciating the beauty of nature, blah blah. Was sort of relaxing.
After that, CO became my priority. Joined the solo competition and managed to scrape a Gold prize. Not exactly satisfied, it's a very long story, which you don't need to know, or maybe you already know. Haha.
So, that about sums up my year. Of course there are a lot of things I've missed, or decided not to put here. Like my frequent shopping expeditions to Gurney and Prangin' with my mates. Haven't been to Queensbay for a long long time, until 2 days ago. Really love Forever 21! :) And like CO "commercial" performances (as Siok put them) with my awesome CO buddies.
Okay. It's a quarter of an hour past New Year already. As in, it's the first 15 minuts of 2011!
HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!!
Hope you guys have a great year ahead of you. :)
