Neuf Jours
9 December 2008
I love Christmas! And it is coming real soon. Whoopee!
You can see them everywhere - christmas trees of every size, festooned with sparkly tinsels, glittery ornaments, twinkling lights, magnificent angels/stars on the top of the trees .... WHAT'S NOT TO LOVE??!
And the best part - THE PRESENTS!!
One should not create a wish list, because one will probably experience disappointment. Too true. Not that I don't have an endless wish list. That's why. I'm always disappointed.
There are many Christmas trees in my house! We went to Gurney yesterday to buy a new tree (RM200, WHAT A RIP OFF!) because one of the "stands" (there are originally four of them) for the previous tree is lost. Disappearance of just one piece of the "stands", and poof, you lose RM200. Stupid.
So we have the new tree and the old tree (which doesn't really count, but whatever).
I also have a small one in my room. And an even smaller, tiny, in fact, one on my bedside table. It is very cute, and special!
It is not the regular type of tree where you HANG your ornaments onto, but instead, it is a tree where you STICK your ornaments (which are of a different type as well) into. My sister also has one in her room!
And there is another small, nice tree - half tree, actually, where you prop against the wall - on the piano.
Oh! I also made a Christmas wreath for my bedroom door! We have those extra "leaves", so voilà! A nice wreath for you (your door I mean). Free. Completely free. Yay! I also tied a tiny bell on the wreath, so I told my sister to ring the bell instead of knock whenever she wants to come into my room.
But the tinkle of the bell is so faint I can barely hear it, even if I am the one who does the ringing.
Tomorrow I am going to stick glow-in-the-dark snowflakes onto my wall!
Will post photos soon.

I was surprised when I saw you use that word. I ... assume you like English. Good. At least we have one thing in common.
When you assume, you make an ass out of you and me ... I know, I know.
I remember once when the teacher (we call her Rhombus, explain later) made an assumption about something, and I, not noticing that the whole auditorium was deathly quiet, said the above quote, out loud. Oops. I only hope she did not hear.
Rhombus, how did she get her name? She, is another strange teacher that we dislike. She thinks she is very cool ; she acts like she's cool, she talks like she's cool. Which she isn't. Oh no. She is farrr from that. The only thing we noticed about her was her fat arms. And her act-cool-ness. Eew.
And she thinks she is very clever. And cool. Oh, sorry, I forgot I mentioned that. *sarcastic smile*
When she laughs, her mouth strangely resembles a rhombus. Not a perfect one though, just a slightly lopsided one. But still a rhombus. Or a parallelogram. Hui Jing and I got a shock (and burst out laughing afterward) when we saw her laugh like that.
And thus the name Rhombus.
I found out when your birthday is!! A wee bit of spying. Actually not spying. I just looked. =P
Oh, and my mom left for Bali this morning! Hope she buys something for me there. Hehe. Five glorious mommy-free days. Whoopee. Not that there's anything for me to do, I'll probably be in school all day. Pooh.
I miss Shi Yin! I miss her I miss her I miss her! =( Hope she comes back sooner than planned.
CO competition in 9 days. I should start my planning for what to bring and what not to bring.
Crisis. I have a giant ladybug soft toy that I want to bring. I ... don't know. I just can't bear to leave her/it behind. I don't want to neglect her/it. But you know, I shouldn't feel like that. There are a grand total of 12 ladybug soft toys (from big to small) and about 8 pig soft toys in my house. If I feel like that then I must bring every soft toy of mine along. Which is utterly absurd.
Sigh. Never mind, 9 days is a long time. I'll figure something out. So many things to bring.
My instrument, my uniform, my clothes, towels, shoes, loads of food, camera, handphone (*smirks*), money money money, the damned ladybird, and my bolster which I cannot live without, and ... tissue paper? Oh, and poker cards, UNO cards, all sorts of games, and ... spectacles, combs, shampoo, body shampoo, a book (maybe), toothbrush, toothpaste, plastic bags (just in case someone pukes) ......
