I Miss You, Jane!!
20 November 2008
EXTREMELY LONG, ERR, JANE-ISH POST AHEAD!
I talked to Jane through a video call in MSN last night!!
(Or the day before the last, because it's 12:30 a.m right now)
Well, at least it was night, here in Malaysia. Actually, night is the wrong word. Should be midnight. Or the very earliest hours of the morning.
Jane has finally reached Utah, after visiting Los Angeles, San Francisco, and Seattle. The lucky bitch. Bastard.
To think she went to so many exciting places in a week and during that same whole week I was lying on my bed, surfing the net, watching and re-watching movies (Lord of the Rings again, anyone?), daydreaming, fantasizing about some ... fantasies? and wasting time.
It's a wonderful life. *grimace*
It was the 18th of November, around 1:00 a.m when I talked to her, and according to Jane it was only the 17th of November, around 9:00 - 10:00 a.m over there!
Which struck me as a little bit strange. Our time is almost two days ahead of the time in America?! I thought, maybe 12 hours or so. Maybe Jane got it wrong. *shrug*
Anyway, through the webcam, Jane showed me the surroundings of her cousins' house. Or more like, the neighbourhood. And my jaw literally dropped. It is very gorgeous, with an air of peaceful serenity about it.

Okay, maybe I'm not one to talk. I haven't really seen that much, so I wouldn't know what is truly beautiful and what is not. But whatever! At least I know that it is wayyyy nicer there in Utah than here in Penang.
But of course!!
I really have to stop stating the obvious.

Look how brilliantly blue the sky is!!
And yes, those are ducks! Ducks, right at people's doorsteps! Ahhh!! I have never seen anything like it. Cocks and hens, maybe. Cats and dogs, there are so many of them, they irritate me sometimes. But ducks?!
Jane and her brother Mitchell fed the ducks right in front of my eyes. Uhm. Okay. That last part sounds queer. Since we're about a zillion miles away from each other.
Oh, and I could hear the quacking of the ducks! They were very noisy.

I don't know how to describe my feelings, I just know I felt incredibly happy after looking at the sceneries, after looking at the ducks, hearing Jane's voice, hearing the quacks of the ducks.
That was the closest I had ever been to America, if you know what I mean. Of course there were movies, videos, photos .... but it's different!! It's like, I have never seen America like that, so ... normal. So ... CLOSE. It was like seeing a whole new world, a world that is alive. Movies, they all are just ... well, movies. They all seem so ... dead.
Fine, I'm not going to say anymore, because probably no one will understand. Just think of it as a pile of nonsense.

The houses look too good to be true, don't they? If the quality of the photo above is better, I reckon it can be made into a desktop wallpaper.

AHHH JANE IS ONLINE AGAIN!!! *scream*
Wow. It sure is hard to talk to her. It's 1:27 a.m right now, and it's 10:30 a.m over there. I just told her I'm like an owl. I have to wake up at night if I want to talk to her. Or I have to wake up early in the morning.
Oh, and Jane declared that it is very cold *brrr* over there, and how she loves the weather over here. Gah. If only she knows how fucking hot it is right now.
And I asked her to promise me that she'll call me again when it finally snows!! I will be even "closer" then. Sigh. Why is it so hard to express my feelings?
And the lucky bastard went to Saks Fifth Avenue and Nordstrom. AHH!!!! Actually I never knew there was a Saks Fifth Avenue in San Francisco. So when I first saw it I jumped to the conclusion that she went to New York. And I vowed that I will kill her if she goes to New York.

OMG! There's Juicy Couture at Nordstrom okay!!! *screams louder*
WHY IS SHE SO LUCKY DAMMIT!!!!
Eh! And I already got a present from her brother!! *whoops* Which turns out to be a sea lion plushie from San Francisco. Ooh. From San Francisco!!! I think I might faint. So if I someone buys me something from New York I'll probably jump off my balcony.
Mitchell said it was an advanced birthday present. Or belated. Because they're only coming back in January. Oh man. I don't know why, but I miss Jane so much!!!
And that day, while I was talking to Jane, I could see her brother eating Häagen-Dazs in the background. In the morning! He's crazy.
So I told him his tummy is getting bigger, and you know what he said? He said, ah, it's cold over there and he needs to eat more food, so that it will provide warmth. *snorts* You don't eat ice cream to keep warm okay. You DON'T.
Anyway Jane said the Häagen-Dazs ice cream over there is very cheap, compared to the ones here. I think she said it was around $2.00. Which is certainly very cheap. If you convert it to RM, it's probably around RM7. The actual ice cream HERE is RM9+, I think. I THINK. I haven't eaten it for ages.
Which is probably a good thing.
Jane also showed me a pretty glass necklace she bought in ... was it Seattle? I think it was. For $28. I can't quite decide whether it is considered as cheap or expensive, since the thing I wanted to buy costs $225. Ah. *scoffs* In my dreams.
Oh, Jane also took me for a "tour" around her cousin's house. Eh! I am impressed! The houses are fairly modern. Okay, I don't know what I was expecting, those kind of very very old country houses with secret passages maybe? WTF. That's what you get for reading (used to, long ago) too many Enid Blyton books.
AHHH! Jane said she stole some grapes from a vineyard when she was in a place called Napa Valley. Damn. She's so bad. And she said she also stole some oranges from the hotel she's staying in. Actually she is allowed to take the oranges, but she just took more than the normal, rightful amount one is supposed to take. xD
Hehhh! I stole some photos from Jane's Facebook.

Look at the aquarium! Isn't it magnificent? So colourful. THAT is how a real aquarium should look like! Not like the ones in Langkawi and Singapore. Singapore's was okay, at least there was a touch pool there. But I don't recall seeing a touch pool or anything of the sort in Langkawi.

Look! So many sea lions. So fat. So lazy. Loves to be with their friends. And seee they love to sunbath too!
I think I have found my true friends. At last. Fat, lazy, loves friends and loves the sun (only if it's not scorchingly hot) ....
*frowns* Why am I feeling so energetic! It's 2.00 a.m in the morning right now and I'm still feeling wide awake. Only with an occasional yawn or two. I'm strange.
Aww. Mok Mok said she didn't sleep for the whole night yesterday! She said she's got insomnia. Poor thing. =(
EH!! Stupid Hsieh Ying is still online!! What the hell is she doing? No wonder she's got such terrible eye bags and dark eye circles. Like me. LOL. She brought this on herself and she still dared to complain that her dark eye circles are very conspicuous. Serves her right. ;P
And today, after CO practice, my mom brought my sister, Chiew Na, Hsieh Ying, Siok Zhen (not sure about the spelling) and I to Little Cottage 2 for lunch. Took some photos with Hsieh Ying's new camera. Will upload it soon, when she finally sends it to me!
And I really have to stop talking.
And I know this post is seriously long (and nonsensical).
And I am hungry. Grrrr.
And I'm bored. Entertain me.
And I have to go to sleep.
And I have to remember to miss someone.
But you don't really miss someone if you have to remember to miss that someone. Right?
Okay. Last thing~
GRAND COUNTDOWNS :
8 days until my birthday!
28 days until the CO competition!
(And I KNOW I am pathetic. Because yes, my holidays and my life is truly that boring and uninteresting that I have to blog about someone else's. Like I said, pathetic. *shakes head*)
