Cameron Highlands I
Cameron Highlands Day 1
12 March 2008
NOTE : If you don't like SUPER LONG POSTS and FLOWERS, go away. =P
We left Penang early in the morning, and we picked my cousin up in Butterworth. After a few hours, we reached Ipoh, and we stopped to have brunch at a supposedly famous dim sum restaurant.

Chee Cheong Fun
It was super yummy!! I loved it.
After brunch we continued with our journey. I fell asleep, and when I woke up we were already there.

My Sleepy Face
My hair was very messy because the car windows were open, to let the cool air outside blow in. The feeling was very nice!!

Some certain plants at Cameron Highlands were like, four or five times the normal size you usually see in ... normal places. The clovers there were very huge!! Some are even as big as your palm when a normal one is only about, say, the size of your thumb.
We reached Kea Farm quite soon, and we stopped there for ice-creams.

Ice-Creams *drools*
The chocolate one was mine, but I don't like it as much as the strawberry ones, because the chocolate wasn't fine enough. Yuk.
But I still love the strawberries!! Don't you think strawberries are very pretty?? Especially ones that are close to being heart-shaped.

Waffles with Strawberries
And a dollop of whipped, fresh cream and chocolate.
Oh my God, these waffles are to die for!!! They were incredibly tasty. The low temperature at Cameron Highlands only made the hot waffles taste even better.

:D
After the ice cream, we went to the place we were going to stay at. It wasn't a hotel, I don't exactly know what it is. I only know that it has something to do with MARDI, and ... yeah, that's about it.
We saw a lot of big, gorgeous and brilliantly colored hibiscuses!!

In shades of orange

In shades of red and pink
And we also saw a very huge yellow hibiscus :

So pretty, no??

See how big it is?? It's even bigger than my face.
We also saw lots of pretty flowers around the MARDI compounds, or whatever it's called. Who cares.

Okay. A break from flowers first.
We reached the little cottage we were going to stay in. It was a small, sweet little house, called the English Cottage!!!

It even has it's own little garden with colorful flowers!!

There is even a barbecue ... stove?? under the tree!!

The living room, patio, kitchen and a .... I don't know what it is. Seating area??

The dining room and the stairs that led to the second floor.
Ugly stairs, by the way. It was made of wood, and therefore it made a lot of creaks and squeaks. Arrgh.

The upstairs bedroom, and the fake fireplace downstairs.
The house was divided into two sides, and in each side there were a living room, a dining room, and those other rooms. So in total, the whole cottage has about, six or seven bedrooms.
After we bagged our bedrooms, we went out to explore the MARDI grounds.

I love this photo!! I look like I was at somewhere else that is not Cameron Highlands ... if you know what I mean. I know, you don't know what I mean, so forget it.

The photo above shows the very pretty garden outside the English Cottage, complete with a small pond, a bridge and a fountain. Not to mention uncountable species of rare flowers that can only live in low temperatures.
Okay. Back to flowers.

Birds of Paradise
Is this gorgeous or what??

Amaryllis

Cut.

We had a delicious, early dinner at 5 something, then we went out for another exploration. Yes, the grounds are really that big that we couldn't finish exploring yet.
And .....
I will post up the rest of Day 1 another time because this entry is way too long. Heeh.
